{"id":27881,"date":"2011-06-19T19:36:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-19T16:36:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T21:00:00","slug":"a-statement-by-people-of-lattakia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arraee.net\/?p=27881","title":{"rendered":"A statement by people of Lattakia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>\u00a0We, the people of the neigborhoods of &#8220;Raml Falastini&#8221; and &#8220;Skantouri&#8221; and the other besieged neighborhoods of the city of Latakia hereby declare once again our categorical rejection of the entrance of the Syrian Arab Armed Forces or any other armed groups into our neighborhoods, as we are peacefully protesting and bear no arms. There has not been a single armed protester in any of our neighborhoods, nor any infiltrator or armed gangs or terrorists or destructive groups. All those allegations of the Syrian regime are a mere lie. The only side that uses arms are the security forces of the regime that face peaceful protesters with all forms of repression and that are responsible for the martyrdom of many of our sons and for the huge number of injuries. We have to treat the wounded in field clinics to ensure their safety and well-being for fear of repression by the security forces and their prosecution even inside the hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>We declare that we insist on our right to protest and that we insist on the peacefulness of each of our actions.
