A lady and her husband were arrested as a hostage on behalf of her brothers<\/p>\n

In 2011-8-6, the military security in banyas has arrested Mrs. Fatima Mohammad Sohyouni and her husband Abdulkarim Karroum (age 27) after being called to the military security office. This was done to force her brothers, the activists, to surrender themselves.
Fatima (age 24) was arrested 2 weeks ago when security forces sieged her neighborhood and she was taken with her husband from their home after a phone call with her brother Hasan who has been hiding. She was interrogated and threatened while being held in the military security office in an attempt to push her to disclose her brothers’ location. Hussein, Hasan, Othman, and Khalid have been under persuit since Banyas invasion last May due to their participation in the peaceful demonstrations there.
The fifth brother, Bassam Sahyouni, has been arrested since 2011-7-5 while his father was arrested and brutally tortured as a hostage before he was released lately.
The security forces have invaded the brothers’ homes and stores several times and have destroyed their contents.<\/p>\n
