Liquidation of detainees within Syrian security branches <\/p>\n

9 detainees have died under torture inside the interrogation centres of security branches over the past 10 days, demonstrating a significant increase in such killings. The total number of detainees who have been killed due to torture under interrogation has now reached 65 cases. <\/p>\n

The past 10 days have witnessed the death of the following individuals while being tortured in security branches: Fahed Adnan in the Damascus suburb of Douma; Ghassan Refaee in the Qaboun area of Damascus, whose body – displaying evident marks of torture – was dumped in front of his house after his detention for several days by the security services; Mohammad Mahl Alkarad from Deraa; Rohy Fayez Alnadaf from Erbeen in the suburbs of Damascus, who died from torture on the day as he was arrested and his body delivered to his parents two days later, with marks of severe torture; other victims were identified as Tamer Alshomary, Jehad Ebara, Khaled Morad and Tamer Alyaseen from Homs.<\/p>\n
