Idlib: The past 48 hours: A wide deployment of army and security forces from Ariha to Jissr Al-Shoghour and a siege on Jabal Al-Zawieh from the north and west with gunfire from heavy machine guns, raids on homes and sabotaging properties as well as a wide wave of arrests in city of Ariha. Security forces have also fired snipers at the residents, martyring 10 people, most of whose injuries were in the head. The army has also invaded the neighboring village of Mhambel after having previously attacked it with heavy gunfire as well as arbitrary gunfire at residential buildings, martyring Khadijah Mohammad Abu Naqra (50) who was standing on her house’s rooftop at the time, while her daughter Khalidieh Abdulmunem also got critically wounded. There have also been raids on homes to search and sabotage them, even though most of the residents had already fled to Jabal Al-Zawieh. Around 90 people were arrested while trying to protect the civilians by hindering the army from going further into Jabal Al-Zawieh.
