Munther Khaddam, a member of the opposition, wrote on his Facebook status: Around 10 PM, the house of the renowned Syrian author Nabil Sulaiman – which is located in Bodi village in Jableh – was besieged and was shot at. Then his house and car was raided and destroyed. Although Mr. Sulaiman called the police, no one came for his rescue. In the same night and in a doubtful coincidence, my house in Mazar El-Kteireh village in Lattakia was also besieged. Although no destruction took place, the attackers started swearing at me and my family and threatening us. My car was destroyed yesterday and they delivered a message telling me that this was the price for not participating in the governmental so called national dialogue. Once again, I hold the government the responsibility in case any physical or emotional harm to me or to Mr. Nabil Sulaiman.
