As in every Friday, a massive protest took place in Al-Kseer where the number of protesters of alkseer city and surrounding villages was estimated by 25000 people. Walking through Al-Kseer streets, protestors passed by a military police office the where security forces opened fire at them killing 4 at least and injuring 10 of which many are in critical situation. Additionally, one of the injured is a 10 year old child.
Martyrs are: Muhsen Khaled Khleef (16 years old), Abdulhameed Idrees, Ahmad Khleef and Muhsen AlZain. Some of the injured were transferred to the national hospital where one of the doctors refused to treat them. Within a while the security forces attacked the hospital to abduct the injured, but people of the city surrounded the hospital as well as the military police office in order to transport the injured to Lebanon.
While transporting the injured, airforces security and intelligence officiers patrolling a check point on the road heading to Lebanon opened fire on the ambulance which was heading in the direction of Lebanon. The residents put several tires on fire and moved some rocks to the roads in an attempt to block the army from entering the city. Despite that, Seven tanks and five APCs deployed in the military shooting range near by moved into the city and took hold of main roads and strategic locations while APCs were seen driving around the streets of AlQusayr shooting randomly targetting houses or in the air.
The funural of Mouhsen AlKhalif started at 19:00. During the funural, security forces opened machine guns fire in the direction of mourners. Members of a family well known for its support of the regime opened fire on the mourners on their way back homes, the martyr’s uncle, Ahmed AlKhalif (Abou Yehyia) 58 years old, got injured with two bullets and died later today.
Several Snipers took positions in the girls school, the cinema, the post, the Shariaa School, and in the several security forces building, and the houses of the pro regime family (Hanna family) and several other houses of the main road. Shooting in the air with machine guns (500) from the APCs continued until sunrise with the main goal of terrorising the residents of the city.
AlQusayr is now under military siege. Water suplies and electricity are cut since Friday (24.06.2011) morning in AlQusayr city and the surrounding towns and villages.
