Rakka: 28-7-2011 Three lawyers from the Rakka bar association collectively resigned from Baath party. Resignation letter was delivered to Baath party branch in the judiciary palace in Rakka. The lawyers are: Rana Nissam Ibrahim al-Khalil, Khawla al-Arif, Thahiba al-Fouraij. The lawyers stated that their resignation was to protest the participation of their Baathi colleagues in assaulting and inciting the assault on the demonstrators.
