Raqa:22-8-2011: about 100 lawyers has performed a sit-in in front of the Lawyers Syndicate inside The courthouse in Raqa after the invitation of ” Syria Lawyers for Freedom.” The lawyers held small signs in support of the besieged cities and demanding the rule of law and freedom.Security forces in Raqa started arresting many of the lawyers when the site-in finished in front of the main gate of the Justice Palace and filmed by the surveillance cameras that monitors the the daily movements inside and outside the courthouse till the office of the Attorney General. The arrests were violent and humiliating and were seen by all the lawyers, judges and the visitors .the known names of detainees are:
Rana Khalil, Rimah Shanaha, Mahmoud Hadi, Mahmoud Issa, Asyad Mousa, Saleh Ali Saleh, Ali Fares, Mohamad Shalash, Fahed Beram, Abdullah Khalil ( in a very violent and humilating way ), Mohamad Jasem, Ghaleb Amen, Mohamad Ismael and Fahed Faseh
