Homs: Residents of Homs and of neighboring villages flocked to the market to shop after some of the barricades had been removed. There was the attempt of gathering for a demonstration and the participants set out towards Sa’a Square, especially after the news about the arrival of the United Nations fact finding delegation in the city, as there is confidence that security forces will not kill protesters during the presence of the delegation in the area. But the security forces took advantage when the delegation left and opened fire directly at the protesters. So did snipers that had climbed upon buildings, which led to at least two people killed, one of which is a child. There were also many injured, one of which was moved in a car belonging to the United Nations. The market area has been surrounded, in preparation for a campaign of arrests.
