Homs: Security forces and Shabiha have stormed the university dorms in Homs, units 3 and 8, at exactly 23:30 of the night of 2011-08-19. The students were subject to severe beating with truncheons and tasers and to humiliation. 77 students were arrested because of their participation in a peaceful sit-in in solidarity with the besieged cities.
Security forces repeated the storming the following day and detained more students. While some have been released, a number of them is stull under arrest until now. The following have been identified to be among those that are still detained:
