Homs: Rastan: The army has bombarded the town with artillery shells and heavy machine guns, killing many citizens including children. Among the identified martyrs is Colonel Fitam Al Sheikh Ali, a renowned person in the town. About 35 civilians were also shot, including many children under 12, on the road to the Abu Qrei’ cemetery as they were fleeing the military operations. This has happened before on Tuesday as a group of children and elderly were fleeing through the farms on the east of the town and the army opened fire killing more than 50 of them whose dead bodies were transported to the national hospital in Homs.
