Hundreds were arrested during a raid of the city of Katna. Around 350 detainees on Saturday and around 120 detainees on Sunday and other detainees during the subsequent days were transferred to Almntka branch, military security in Damascus. These detainees were taken to the headquarters at the tenth division in the army before being transferred to Almntka branch. Among them, the activist Nazeer Alsaifee who has a critical health condition, where he had a heart surgery, just two days before his arrest, which was not completely successful. Also, doctors and nurses from Hkmeh hospital were arrested. The hospital has been closed and sealed for two months under the pretext of treating the wounded without permission!
While the rest of the detainees held at the School of displaced people in Katna after the it was transferred to a collective detention. Until now, we do not know if the detainees were transferred later or they are still there.
Katna is the ghost city after the arrest of hundreds of its people and the disappearance of others because of the continuing arbitrary arrests.
