The car of Dr. Nadhem Ibrahim, an Alawite, was targeted today afternoon, Saturday, 2011-08-13, by a shell fired from a military BMP vehicle. His car and body were entirely burnt, leading to his martyrdom. Dr. Ibrahim was the director of the Health Care Hospital in Taldo, in the outskirts of Hawla.
The residents of Hawla are aware and cautious of the regime’s attempt to spark sectarian strife int he country in an attempt to save themselves from this revolution, which has almost ousted this regime. We want to stress the harmonic co-existance of the different groups of Hawla and its suburbs and villages for many years. The regime is targeting all ethnic and religious groups of the society that oppose it, and even its own supporters in betrayal and insidiously, to disunite the children of one people. The people of Hawla emphasize their continuation of their peaceful revolution to overthrow the regime and offer their deepest condolences to the family of the martyr Dr. Nadhem Ibrahim after this grievous crime that was commited by the forces of the Syrian regime.
